What two things scream DENVER COLORADO more than dogs and craft beer?! So it's only fitting that the these two things be the subject of my next pawesome limited edition Pop-Up session.
This idea has been swimming around in my creative mind for quite some time. But finding the perfect location for it has been more of a challenge than expected. There's no shortage of amazing dog-friendly breweries around our fair city, but I had a really specific idea of the overall aesthetic I was looking for. Something warm and earthy with a distinctive brewery vibe. Of course, signature wooden barrels were at the top of my must have's.
A huge Shout Out to all the adorable Brew Pups who raised $635 for The Good Dog Rescue!

Barquentine Brewing Company is a beautifully crafted, family-owned brewery & tasting room with an expansive dog-friendly patio located just west of Sloan's Lake. For our pop-up they've granted us extra access to areas that are not normally open to dogs AND we get to come in during non-business hours!
Inspired by the beers of Belgium and the sailing ships, called Barquentines, that brought Old World brewers their provisions. The recipes are drawn from tradition and modernized for the well-trained palate of the Colorado beer drinker. Brewing on a 15 bbl, 2 vessel system, to make each small batch unique and memorable.
During normal business hours dogs are limited to the row of indoor seating closest to the patio and the patio itself out of consideration for patrons who may be allergic or uncomfortable with dogs.
Caitlyn & Kyle, the owners & brewers, have graciously agreed to open the doors early just for us. Having the place to ourselves means your pup will have less distractions and we can really focus on creating beautiful artwork.
I also have to extend a special thank you for them allowing their extremely adorable Corgi, Paul, to be my very first Brew Pup model. I mean seriously! How stinking cute is he lounging on the couch with nice cold brew?!
Just in case having awesome artwork that celebrates your two favorite things (dogs and craft beer) wasn't cool enough. You'll be supporting The Good Dog Rescue with every purchase. The Good Dog Rescue works diligently to pull dogs from high kill shelters and place them with volunteer fosters so that they can learn to live in a home environment before finding their furever homes.
When the pandemic hit and everyone rushed out to adopt new dogs, my heart soared. Unfortunately, an alarming number of those people have dumped their "pandemic puppies" right back in the shelter now that they're back to work and taking care of a dog is less convenient. This action may be unfathomable to folks like you & me. But shelters & rescues have been overwhelmed with the influx. While there is nothing we can do to change people's decisions, we can help out by supporting those working in the trenches to save as many unwanted dogs as possible. Rescue is expensive work, between transportation and vet care, rescues need all the help they can get, especially right now.
With that in mind your entire $75 session fee plus 10% of artwork sales will be donated to The Good Dog Rescue to help them continue to pull dogs from high-kill shelters and find them furever homes.
