Varied Terrain for Beautiful & Unique Photos
One of the best things about Corbin Park is its diverse landscape, which gives us endless possibilities for photos. If your dog loves to run and play, the wide-open grassy fields are perfect for capturing those joyful, high-energy moments. For water-loving pups, the riverfront beach offers the perfect place to splash, paddle, or simply enjoy the scenic backdrop of the Spokane River.
Beyond the open spaces and shoreline, Corbin Park also features rugged rock formations that create a striking, artistic setting. Whether your dog is perched on a boulder like a little adventurer or you’re gathered together for a cozy family portrait, these natural rock features add a unique touch to any session.
Easy Accessibility
Corbin Park isn’t just beautiful—it’s also incredibly accessible. Unlike some locations that require long hikes over difficult terrain, everything here is just a short, easy walk from the parking area. With flat paths and open spaces, it’s a great option for:
- Senior dogs or pets with mobility challenges
- Families with small children
- Anyone who prefers a relaxed, low-effort outdoor experience
It’s the perfect spot to soak in the beauty of nature while still enjoying the convenience of an easily accessible location.
A few things to keep in mind
- Disc Golf Course
-
The park is popular for disc golf, so we’ll need to be mindful of flying discs, especially on weekends.
- Busy on Weekends
-
While it used to be a hidden gem, the proximity to Spokane has made this a very popular spot to enjoy. Especially on weekends and during the warmer months it may not be ideal for people or pets who prefer secluded serenity. I recommend planning for the off season or during the week.
- High-Distraction Environment
-
Again, this is primarily due to the number of people who visit the disc golf course during the busy season.
- Some Difficult Terrain
-
The majority of the park is easily accessed and close to parking. But some areas, especially the rock formations can be more challenging to access. With short but steep uphill sections of the trail. These areas can be avoided all together. For those who don't mind the climb they present a lovely opportunity for some seclusion as they also sit on the outskirts of the disc golf course.
