Capturing Canine Joy: Stroll Magazine's Summer Dog Edition in Legacy Ridge
Stroll Magazine’s Summer Dog Edition shoot was a delightful experience that brought together wonderful dogs and their owners from the Legacy Ridge neighborhood in Liberty Lake, Washington. Over two weekends at the end of May, we created lasting memories and captured the unique personalities of these furry friends at Rocky Hill Park, a picturesque setting that offered a variety of interesting backdrops.
Stroll Magazine’s mission is to foster genuine connections within the community by introducing neighbors to one another through stories and images. As they aptly put it, “We believe getting to know people in our community should be simple.” This project was a perfect embodiment of that mission, featuring beloved pets that are an integral part of their families.
Rocky Hill Park provided the ideal setting for our photoshoots. With its dramatic vistas, viewing decks, soccer fields, and rock formations, the park offers diverse and captivating scenery for each dog’s personality to shine. Whether it was Zoara surveying the landscape or Troo enjoying the view from a deck, each spot highlighted the unique character of our canine models.
Zoara, the ever vigilant guardian, found her perfect spot on a hill overlooking the park. With the dramatic vista in the background, Zoara’s calm demeanor and striking posture made for stunning photographs that captured her serene yet commanding presence.
Troo, ever on the lookout for quait, loved the viewing deck. His photos captured the joy of discovery and the beauty of the natural surroundings. Troo’s excitement was palpable, especially when he got really excited about the idea of searching for quail. This added a playful and energetic vibe to his photos, making each shot lively and engaging.
Jake, affectionately known as the "Ball Dog," took full advantage of the open courts to stretch his legs and play. His boundless energy and enthusiasm were a joy to photograph, capturing the essence of a happy and active dog enjoying a day in the park.
Rescue dog Molly found fascination in the dandelions scattered throughout the park. Her gentle and curious nature was beautifully highlighted as she explored and interacted with her environment, creating tender and heartwarming images.
Sweet Piper, also a rescue, enjoyed rolling in the grass and exploring all the interesting things this lovely park has to offer.
Hershey and Piper, an adorable pair of shih-tzus, had a great time romping near the soccer field. Their playful antics and boundless energy were a joy to capture, showcasing their delightful personalities and the strong bond they share. The wide-open space of the soccer field was perfect for their playful nature.
I met Norman while the sun was still creeping up over the park and lighting up the fresh morning dew like glistening little diamonds.
All and all Rocky Hill Park is a fantastic location for a Liberty Lake photoshoot. With a variety of terrain from the groomed soccer field to the rugged rock features, to the aged barn & fencing, this easily accessible park offers an unmatched variety of scenery that easy to access.
