Dogtober Festival Fun- Looking for something fun to do with your dog this month?
Last weekend we took Saturday off to enjoy the annual Lakewood Cider Days. It’s a laid back event featuring tractor pulls, funnel cakes, and hard cider from all over Colorado. And the best part? Swota (our husky) got to join us! We tried a ton of great local ciders, sat on the grass, and made some new friends. Swota is definitely the social butterfly of the family. Or it could just be she was using her adorable “pet me” face to lure people’s tasting glasses close enough for a lick. We told her she wasn’t old enough to drink but that didn’t stop her from trying.
Summer festivals are abundant but with her heavy coat some times they’re not so fun for Swota. But this year’s Cider Days was just right and it got me thinking about what other Fall festivals she could tag along to. So I did some research and I was surprised by how hard it was to find dog-friendly festivals in October. Here’s what a morning of Googling got me.

Ok, this one isn’t until November but it still looks like a laid-back way to enjoy some doggie time. The Brew on Broadway is hosting this years Englewood Unleashed event. With great food and crafts to checkout, believe it or not it IS fur-kid friendly. So grab the pups and go enjoy some of the best Chili in Colorado.
While your enjoying all the weekend adventures be sure to set aside some time for Fall Photos with your canine companions. Only a few sessions are still available in October.
