Yoga Dog Project

by Kris Phillips

This is a photography project involving yoga & dogs. Before you start thinking I’m crazy, no, your dog doesn’t need to master dancer’s pose! I’ve seen those calendars and while they’re hilarious, we’re going for something a little deeper here.

One of the core concepts in Yoga is finding balance and acceptance of both the light and shadow sides of your being. And dogs, dogs are the ones who accept us wholly — long before we ever learn to accept ourselves. By photographing yogis & their dogs in silhouette I’m hoping to strip away the masks that we all wear and reflect the depths of our dogs’ acceptance.

This project has been some time in the making and I’m excited to finally bring my vision to life with your help.

I’m seeking yogis with dogs. Size and age do not matter as much as the ability to find stillness — for the yogi or the dog.

As my thank-you for participating in this photo project you’ll receive a complimentary canvas print from your 30 minute mini-session with your dog.

I am looking for 25-30 yogis to include in this soul-project. If you’re interested please fill out the form below so we can connect. You should get an email from me shortly after, if you don’t check your promotions or junk folders. Or reach out via my contact form.
