Dog-Friendly Fall Festivities!-2018

by Kris Phillips

When the weekend comes you want to get out there and enjoy it! You don’t have time to wade through Google trying to find something fun, only to find something awesome going on…last weekend. I’ve done the searching for you and found fun dog-Friendly Fall activities to share with your best pup. Do be sure to check with the event for all the details.

Sept 8th: Barker Days-H2O’Brien Pool in Parker

If you’ve ever been sad that your dog can’t enjoy the water park with you, then this is the event for YOU!!!   Get all the details at: Facebook Events or at

Sept 8th: Doggie Plunge-Pirates Cove Aquatic Center in Englewood

Get your doggy-paddle ready and head to Pirates Cove for some splashing fun with your water-loving dog.

Sept 22nd: Denver Dumb Friends League Wag N Trail

Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy hiking with their dogs at Glendale Farm Open Space north of Castle Rock from 8 a.m. to noon while helping raise funds for the Dumb Friends League Buddy Center.  Find the details on their website.

Sept 28th- Oct: Maize in the City

Take your pup to pick out the perfect Halloween pumpkin. Or venture out and get lost in the 20 acre Crazed Corn Maze with your furry friend. Tickets and information are available online.

Oct 6th & 7th: Lakewood Cider Days

This is one of my favorite events! Where else can you & your dog watch tractor pulls & performing pigs, enjoy a whole turkey leg AND taste 50 different hard ciders?! (Your pup is probably underage for the cider tasting)

Oct 19th: Scream Scram 5k

Dogs in costumes! What could be more fun? Break out your favorite mommy/doggy team costume and head to Wash Park for an evening of fun benefiting Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.

Oct 31st: Lakewood Fall Fun Fest

A great, family-friendly, fun event! Carnival Games | Bounce Houses | Trunk Or Treat | Tons of Candy & Prizes for the Kiddos | Live Music | Pet Costume Contest

Puttin’ on the Max is a black tie event benefiting MaxFund. Get out your best ball gown and enjoy and evening of fine dining, fine wine, and slient & live auctions. (Double check with the coordinator I’m un-sure whether pups are welcome at this one)

Know about an awesome pet friendly event coming up? Shoot me an email at & I’ll be happy to add it.
